Romania 1999

Total Solar Eclipse

In 1999, three of us drove across Europe to Romania to see the Total Solar Eclipse from the top of Cârja in the Parâng mountains in Transylvania.

The video was taken with a Sony Handycam on maximum non-digital zoom. Click the image to run the video which is on Abingdon Astronomical Society's website. The still shots were taken with a Tamron 500mm mirror lens with a 2x converter and a Pentax P30n camera.
