Campsie Fells - Nov. 2003

On the Saturday before I came home, we went by bus to Strathblane - less than an hour's bus ride and we were in real countryside surrounded by hills.

We climbed up to the top of an old volcanic plug from where we saw the most wonderful rays from the low Sun over Ben Lomond to the west.

A short bus ride home and we were soon eating and drinking wine with friends back in Glasgow. I thought of my dark nights in the tent up in the Cairngorms - maybe civilisation wasn't so bad after all...
